On Tuesday, October 1, Hôpital de la Citadelle hosted an exceptional day as part of the ‘Bien vieillir, ça se prépare’ event, to mark the International Day of Older Persons. From 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, the hospital lobby was alive with smiles, music and... movement!
Smiles and movement, all day long
We were delighted to give 8 seated dance workshops throughout the day, attended by people of all ages. The workshops provided an opportunity to share a moment of conviviality around movement, while remaining attentive to everyone's abilities.
In all, 111 people got moving with us, discovering or rediscovering the benefits of dance in a warm and caring environment. The workshops, which were short and appropriate in length, enabled everyone to feel at ease and bring a little lightness to everyday hospital life.
Many thanks to everyone!
We would like to extend our warmest thanks to the Hôpital de la Citadelle for its initiative and trust, and to the students of the Mosa Ballet School who helped to create a friendly and dynamic atmosphere throughout the day.
These moments spent together demonstrate the importance of movement, even in old age, and remind us that ageing well can be prepared for... by dancing too!
