Pierrette Vens



Pierrette has been passionate about traditional dances since she was 16, and has trained under Marcel Hicter (Service National de la Jeunesse), Jenny Falize and other instructors in both Walloon and foreign dances. In 1981, she set up her own group, Li Barada, which dances Walloon, 1900s, 18th-century and Scottish dances.

Recognised as an expert, she was elected President of the Fédération Wallonne des Groupements de Danses, Musiques et Chants Populaires - régionale de Liège and Secretary of the Dapo Nationale in October 98 and still holds these positions. Since August 2022, she has been teaching traditional dance at the Mosa Ballet School.
